Please share your creations with the community on social media tagging and hashtag #stainedglassfestivaltop Happy Crocheting! I love to see what you create! I think I did a pretty Ok job! So, I hope you enjoy the top as much as I enjoyed designing it! I tried my best to capture a small portion of the beauty of that stained glass silhouette. The next day, after seeing how the beautiful and iconic Rose Window had miraculously survived the devastating fire, I decided on what pattern I wanted to try for the bottom portion of the top. I had just finished the cups when my husband sent me the link to the live feed of the news and then had to put the piece away because I couldn’t concentrate on the top any longer. I had been planning this top in my head for a few days but actually started it the day the fire broke out. I was really inspired by the beauty of stained glass, especially the famous Rose Window of the Notre Dame cathedral. I figured I’d get started making the bra cups of the tops and eventually the bottom portion would come to me. That meant I wanted a bit of a drapey front style. With that in mind, I struck out to make a festival top that was fun and flirty, but still provided some coverage to what I consider a problem area on my body. I’m not averse to showing a little skin, but I like to leave a little mystery too! lol. I wanted something light and airy, but also something that gave me some coverage on my tummy. Not to mention all the summer festivals that should be coming my way! Montreal apparently has quite a few summer festivals, so what a great time to get my crochet hook working on a new Festival Top! Changes made.***Īs May rolls in, all I can think about is summer and getting to wear some of my cutest clothes. ***March 5th, 2021: Mistake on Row 6 found.
